He looked so peaceful in his sleep and so cute at his size. He must have been exhausted, but Arachne knew she had to wake him so they could have their late lunch. "Felix," Arachne whispered, but Felix didn't wake from her voice. As Felix laid in Arachne's palm, she nudged him with a finger from her other hand as she whispered his name again. This time, Felix began to stir. "Felix," Arachne said a little louder while continuing to poke him.
Felix opened his eyes to see the giant youthful face of Arachne staring down at him with a caring smile. Normally, waking up to such a sight would be frightening, but he knew that Arachne would never harm him and he was safe with her. "Are you hungry?" Arachne asked.
"Yes, did you catch anything?" Felix replied while yawning a bit.
"Two deer," Arachne answered proudly before asking, "How do you humans eat?"
Felix answered, "We don't eat like you, if that's what you're asking. We cook our food and chew it. We don't digest them from the outside."
"Really? That’s a bit odd," Arachne commented, "But then again, dridders eat small enough prey by just swallowing them whole. Is one deer enough for you?"
"One is more than enough," Felix informed her.
"Then I'll give you the smaller one, if that's alright," Arachne said before setting Felix on the ground and obtaining the smaller sized deer from her web. She started the digestion process on the bigger deer first, before unwrapping the smaller one for Felix. Arachne then broke the smaller deer's neck so that it would never wake up. She set it on the ground and then picked up Felix. "Looks like it's time to unwrap you," Arachne told Felix before she started working on the unwrapping.
When she pulled the webbing away from Felix, she noticed something different about him. Felix felt a little colder than usual, but that wasn't the reason he felt odd. With the webbing no longer covering him, he felt like there was something missing. Felix sat up and looked down. "My Clothes! They're gone!" Felix gasped.
"Oh, that's why you look so different. You were wearing clothes before," Arachne realized.
"Did they get stuck to the web and rip off me when Arachne freed me?" Felix wondered aloud. Felix stood up and looked in the webbing for any shred of his clothes.
As Felix did this, Arachne examined Felix in her hand. His upper half looked a lot like hers being that Arachne was five years old and still flat chested. Arachne's eyes lowered down to Felix's lower half which was very different. Human legs looked alien to her and Felix's feet looked funny looking to Arachne. However, it was something else on Felix's body that Arachne thought was the strangest thing she had ever seen. She had no idea what it could be and for all she knew it could have been some strange creature attached to Felix. "Felix, what's that?" Arachne questioned as she pointed.
Felix slowly looked down at what Arachne was pointing at. His eyes widened at she realized that all his clothes were gone. Felix rapidly covered that spot up with his hands. Arachne thought that this action was odd and quickly asked, "Felix, what's wrong?"
"I'm naked!" Felix exclaimed.
"Yeah, the river must have destroyed your clothes," Arachne replied as if nothing were wrong. Of course being nude was no big deal to her. She had always been naked and didn't see the problem with it. "What is it you're covering?" Arachne redirected her questioning to the strange object she had briefly seen earlier, "Has something attached to you?"
"No," Felix answered, blushing from the embarrassment of being naked in front of his giant five year old friend, "What you saw is a part of me."
"Then, can I see it?" Arachne continued to ask.
"No, you can't," Felix answered.
"Why not?" Arachne questioned.
"It's a private matter," Felix tried to explain.
Unfortunately, it only made the giant five year old dridder more curious. She brought her pointer finger closer to the area and pleaded in her innocent child voice, "Come on, Felix. Let me see, please."
Before the giant finger to touch Felix's hands, Felix took one of his hands off the area and slapped her approaching finger. Arachne pulled her hand away quickly and became teary eyed. Felix's slap didn't hurt her; she was just saddened that Felix was angry with her. He had never been angry with her before. Felix realized he had scared Arachne and sighed, "I'm sorry, Arachne, but you can't see it. It's not something humans show people in public. Humans aren't supposed to be naked around other people."
"Why not?" Arachne questioned, "I'm naked."
"Humans are different than dridders. We wear clothing not just to keep warm, but to cover ourselves from others," Felix continued to try and explain to her.
"Are humans shy of being nudity?" Arachne asked, trying to understand humans' strange behavior.
"Yes, we're shy," Felix agreed with Arachne so he wouldn't have to explain to her in a more complicated reason.
"There's no need to be nervous, Felix. I'm naked," Arachne tried to assure her friend, "I know you humans have a different body, but I promise I won't make fun of it or anything like that."
"I'd still prefer clothes," Felix informed her.
"Maybe I can make clothes for you with my webbing," Arachne suggested, "But I think we should eat first."
Felix sighed. He knew he couldn't continue to cover himself and eat. Felix removed his hands and his face became brighter as he closed his eyes. Arachne had a spider body where her hips should be. Dridders' reproductive organs were in her spider body. So, Felix's whole pelvic region was strange for Arachne. "So, do all humans have that?" Arachne asked.
"No, just guys. Girls have a different part," Felix answered.
"What's it's purpose?" Arachne wondered.
"I pee with it," Felix told her, "And when I'm older, it will be used for something else."
"Oh," Arachne replied. It was clear to her that Felix didn't want to talk about it and was uncomfortable about doing so. Arachne dropped the subject and asked, "Ready to eat?" Felix nodded.
Choice 1: Arachne had learned how to make fire, somehow. She needed it on cold night sometimes. So, Arachne had no problems making a fire to cook Felix's food.
Choice 2: Both of them no very little about making fires and it is difficult to do so in order to cook Felix's food. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
