When Fiona was securely on the branch that led to her home's entrance, she sniffed in the direction of the big storm. It was definitely heading in her direction, but she could possible finish lunch before it reached them. Fiona sighed and whispered, "Good, we made it here before the storm could catch us." Fiona couldn't stop her mind from recalling the memories and the feeling she had experienced the last time she had been caught in a storm. This caused Fiona to shiver as she looked down at the branch she was on.
Fakira landed on the same branch just before Fiona had whispered. She landed right in front of Fiona and had heard what was said. She saw that Fiona was looking down and shivering with her arms hugging herself, her hands were still carrying the three drashigs she was in charge of. Though Fakira was still a bit jealous of how Felix had gawked at Fiona's nudity, Fakira still felt concern of the Felaryan naga. It wasn't the naga's fault that she was naked and Felix had never seen a nude female before. Of course he'd stare at her and Fiona didn't have clothes to fit her. Plus, the friendliness she had given Felix seemed to be the same friendliness she gave to everyone. Fiona just seemed like a very kind and friendly person. Plus, she saw humans as people, and any Felaryan that did so was good in Fakira's book. "Fiona, are you alright?" Fakira asked.
The terrible memories in Fiona's mind suddenly disappeared and she was back in the present. Fiona looked up to see Fakira concerned for her well being. It wasn't the same amount of concern as the two people that had helped Fiona through her dark times, but it was still concern. Fiona might have found four more friends, even if they were leaving Felarya once Fakira's business was settled. Also, the possibility of having two human friends made her even happier because she had so very few human friends. "I'll feel better once we're inside," Fiona told her.
Fakira and Fiona entered the tree home with six drashigs. Solita was sitting against one of the walls with both Felix and Ted in her hands which were close to her stomach. Ted was leaning against the soft skin of Solita's belly. Once Fiona had the two curtains that she had made out of leaves and other material from the forest closed where her entrance and window were, she felt much happier. "Lunch is here!" Fiona called out quite cheerfully.
"Why did you close everything up?" Solita interrogated.
"There's a storm approaching," Fakira informed her. After Fakira set her three drashigs down where Fiona had put hers, Fakira approached Solita and held out her hand once she crouched in front of her. Knowing what Fakira wanted, Solita lifted the hand that Felix was in towards Fakira's waiting hand. "Did you miss me?" Fakira asked.
"Yes, actually I did a bit," Felix answered as he crawled onto the hand of his giant fairy girlfriend. When Felix was seated on her palm, Fakira lifted her hand to her cheek and pressed Felix gently against it. She smiled as his tiny body was against her cheek and as he tried to do his best to hug it back. Fakira began shaking her head slightly so that her cheek continued to rub against Felix's body. Felix felt that he was in a soft and warm heaven.
Fiona smiled upon seeing this. It was clear that the human and the fairy cared for each other deeply and even loved each other. Fiona had thought it was impossible for a Felaryan top predator that had been raised by its own kind could ever actually fall in love with a human, but Fakira and this human proved that it was indeed possible. "Maybe there is still some hope for me," Fiona thought. She had been raised by humans and thought she was a human in a naga body. She wished for a human mate and not a naga mate that would see humans as prey. She wished for a human friend who wouldn't see her as some monster, a human she could stay with and protect from all the other predators out there. Fiona wanted to feel for a human the way Fakira felt for hers. She wanted what Fakira had.
Not wanting to be saddened or jealous of Fakira, Fiona cut off those thoughts as soon as she realized something. "Oh, I'm sorry," Fiona said causing everyone to turn to her, "I didn't catch your names or introduce myself to the two of you." Fiona meant the two humans who were friends with giant fairies. "That was very rude of me not to ask for your names," Fiona said before slithering close to the fairies. She stopped in front of Fakira and looked down at the human in her hand. "My name is Fiona, and what shall I call you?" Fiona asked politely.
"My name is Felix." Fakira had Felix in an open palm, but still held him close to her.
"It's nice to meet you Felix," Fiona said as she brought a fist in front of Felix with only her pointer finger sticking out of the fist. The finger was pointing at Felix and directly in front of him and she held it there. Felix was confused by the action as well as everyone else. Fiona tilted her head and asked, "Don't humans shake hands when meeting?"
Finally realizing what Fiona meant with her action, Felix replied, "Oh. Yes, they do. I just didn't realize..."
"I should have been clearer. I mean, I can't shake humans' hands the same way. I can only offer a finger," Fiona said. Normally, she didn't shake hands when meeting a new person. Fiona was the type of person that was more comfortable hugging people. Heck, she even picked up human sized strangers she just met without a second thought and would hug them against her breast. Maybe that was part of her "clingy" nature. However, these fairies were very protective of their humans and Fiona didn't want to offend them or scare their humans.
After Felix grasped Fiona's finger with both hands and "shook it", Fiona approached Ted who was held even closer to Solita. Solita protectively held Ted in a fist where only his arms, shoulders, and head stuck out. "And what might your name be?" Fiona asked.
"Ted."
"Nice to meet you Ted," Fiona said as she "shook his hands", but as she did this, she looked at Ted deeply and fell into a trance-like state. Being naturally worried, Solita blocked the rest of Ted with her other hand. Fiona shook her head and apologized, "Sorry, it's just that... Never mind. What shall we do for lunch?"
"First, we need to know how many want cooked food. We will cook the drashigs while they're still small, because it will be easier," Fakira stated.
"You can cook them?" Fiona asked with mouth watering, "I haven't had cooked food in a long time. I would like my drashig cooked."
"Okay, that's cooked for Fiona, Ted, and Felix as well as raw for my meal. What about you Solita?" Fakira asked.
"I don't eat raw meat. My species of fairy are like humans. We need food cooked," Solita answered. Solita then turned to Fiona and asked, "You used to eat cooked food? I thought nagas ate their food raw." Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
