*BZZZTT!! BZZTTT!! BZZZ-PSSSSSeeeoooo....* Your alarm clock met it's unfortunate end at the end of your fist! If you werent half asleep, you'd gasp at your own show of strength. You groaned, but got up out of bed, stretched and yawn, and quickly got dressed. Fortunately, Lucemon was still fast asleep. Hopefully you can get to school without him tagging along with you. Even though he said he had something planned for poor little Rika, you'd rather not affiliate yourself with him in any way by the time shit hits the fan.
Besides... if that dream was true, you'd only put yourself in danger bringing Lucemon out in the open.

For now, the only protection you need is the trusty katana. Despite the risk of being expelled if youre caught with it, you stuffed it in our backpack and headed downstairs.
You scarfed down a quick eggo waffle and chugged down a glass of orange juice. Not much of a breakfast, but you had a bit of cash for the vending machines in case you got hungry. You took a glance at your new digivice and sighed before stuffing it in your pocket. Here's hoping the tattoos will come in handy in case you run into any trouble.

"Here goes nothing," you whisper to yourself as you head out the door.

After stepping out, you noticed somebody standing before your front lawn, staring up at your house. A short (VERY short) blonde haired girl with big jade green eyes sporting a fancy looking stylish dark blue kimono fanning herself as she eyed your house with a look of intrigue. After hearing about the thing with Yolei, you werent in the mood for any Nosey-Nancys!
You walked up to the girl and asked, "Can I help you?"

"Hm?" she turned her head to you for a few seconds... then looked back at the house as if you were just a minor distraction.

"I said 'can I help you'," you repeated.

"Nope," she quickly answered, still staring at your house. Ugh. How annoying.
"Then dont you have more important things to do?" you asked the nosey girl.
"This is important," she replied uncaringly at you, "do you mind?"
"Yes," you did mind the annoying eavesdropper, "when a stranger is standing on your lawn and staring at your house, you would tend to mind."
"I wouldnt mind," geez, now she's getting smart! Eh, forget it! This is hopeless! Youre gonna be late for school arguing with this brat!
You just shrug and walk away.

"Hey!" until she shouted at you, stopping you dead in your tracks. You turn your head back to her and raise your eyebrow.
She squinted her eyes at you as she replied, "You smell weird." ...the hell?! What kind of stupid... forget it! You just shook your head in disgust and continued walking. You dont know what that girl's problem was nor do you care. All you cared about was getting to school and finishing your school day without a hitch.

So far so good. You made it there earlier than expected. You passed a lot of fellow students hanging out and chatting amongst themselves as you walked in complete silence. Being a loner yourself, you didnt normally talk to anyone in your school and you never really made any friends. Probably because you felt like you just couldnt trust anyone. Everybody's a jerk is some shape of the word. Even though part of you did feel envious of the legendary so-called digi-destined that attended the same school as you, you couldnt bring yourself down to chat with any of them. Tai's an asshole, Davis is a nimrod, Mimi's too princessy, Ken... well, it seemed like only yesterday that he was a villain. Face it... you cant get along with nobody!

"Wha?!"
"Ah!!"
"OOPH!"
"UPH!"

Just when your day was off to a bad enough start, someone rudely ran up your way and bumped into you head on, knocking you on your ass! At least the other person fell over too.. on top of you!
You were just about to shout 'HEY, WATCH WHERE YOURE GOING' when you recognized your rude collisioner.
It's Rika's friend, Kari! That girl in the cat pajamas who admitted to crushing on you! Your anger vanished seeing her lovely panicking face up close! Her cheeks were red as she smiled for the couple seconds she was inadvertently pinning you down!

"AH!" Kari quickly jumped off you and helped you up, "Oh geez! I am so sorry! Are you ok?"
"Y..yeah," you couldnt help blush yourself, "I'm alright.
"I'm really really sorry!" she apologized, "I was in a hurry cuz I'm almost late for class and I shoulda looked where I was going as I ran and-"
"It's alright, it's alright," you assure her, "kinda took me by surprise though. Not everyday a gorgeous girl charges into me and jumps into my lap!" You laughed a little as Kari kept blushing, no doubt overjoyed her crush thinks she's gorgeous.

...Aw what the heck? Since she likes you and she's not as eerie as her friends...

"Say... arent you uh... Tai's sister?" you pretend to have just met her for the first time, "the digidestined?"
"Y-yeah, that's right!" she nodded, "I'm Kari. Kari Tamiya." Introductions.
"Nice to meet you, Kari," you extended your hand to shake, "I'm Ryan."
She smiled and shook your hand. "W...well, I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm late for PE. M-maybe we can chat again later?" End of conversation already? Bummer.
"I'd love to," you push your bias toward the digidestined aside. Maybe she's one of the normal ones. A LOT normal than Rika and Yolei at least, right?

"Great, see ya!" and with that, she immediately dashed off for PE. The thought of seeing her strip out of her clothes and change into a PE uniform kinda flashed in your mind, then the thought of Lucemon fondling you in the locker room cut your perverted thoughts to a halt!
"Damn, bi-curious angel," you mumbled as you picked up your stuff.

"Hm?" then you noticed something that wasnt yours. A digivice. If it aint yours than it's gotta be...

..KARI'S! She left it behind?! Not a smart move for her. You better go return it to her.
But JUST when you were about to actually chase after Kari, you remember that you got class, too! Stupid Geometry over on the other side of the school! If you go after Kari, odds are youre gonna be late for class. And since digimon are supposed to be kept under wraps, telling your teacher that you were busy returning a girl's digivice wont fly. The best option might be to wait until later, probably lunch if you can find her if you dont have a class with her.

Then again, what if she brought her digivice with her for a reason? Maybe she's expecting an ambush too, and without her little doohickey, she's defenseless?
As you weigh the options, you waste free time! Decide quick! Should you go chase Kari and give her her digivice back or go to your class and wait for another opportunity?
