This is an interactive story containing 11 chapters. Each chapter tells part of the story and (usually) ends with multiple choices. Click on a choice and you'll be lead to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, you will have the option to write it! Don't be shy... make an addition!

The story begins with Seth Michaelson, a recent high school graduate going on a hiking trip with a couple of close friends the summer before they all go off to college. Seth is overall a pretty good guy, very easy-going, friendly and good to his friends. He's never been the most popular guy, but he's generally well liked by those who know him. He's about 6'2" with blue eyes and shaggy brown hair. He's always been a good guy, but secretly he's always been a bit power hungry too. His friends he's with are:

Karen Mitchell, his girlfriend, who's about 5'9" with green eyes and long brown hair. She's very caring and will often go out of her way to help others. The two are very close and intend to rent an apartment together when they go to the University of Colorado after summer.

Trent Atkinson, Seth's best friend since childhood. He's just barely taller than Karen at 5'10" with brown eyes and short black hair. He's generally the funny guy and always makes a joke given half a chance. He dreads the end of summer when he'll have to go out of state to Oklahoma University away from all his friends.

This is the story of how Seth stumbles upon the buried remains of an ancient empire. A relic of a supernatural king gives him all the general abilities of a ghost (intangibility, invisibility, shapeshifting, possession) plus magic that allows him to do just about whatever you can think of. Just keep it limited though, his magic isn't indefinite and in the beginning he doesn't even have any yet. General ghost powers don't require any energy, so just possessing someone over an extended period (which won't hurt the host), or just draining all energy from anything living (which will hurt the host) can replenish his energy levels. You decide if he'll use his powers to gain power (maybe rebuild the ancient empire), for good, or even something in between.

If you'd like to add a chapter, please feel free! Just try to keep to the general character lines and no one-sentence chapters, other than that have fun with it! I will award 500 GPs for a well written chapter. (so none for short or crappy chapters)
