By the next day, Darius felt even worse! Nothing he ate tasted like what it should! It was all too salty, to runny, too sour, too bitter, too spicy! He couldn't eat a thing! Too ashamed and terrified to face his family, and too scared to think about what would happen if word spread amongst the servants that he, Darius, wasn't eating a single scrap of food, Darius spent most of his time sleeping, trying to conserve what little energy he had! He cried and sobbed and sobbed and cried and cried and sobbed some more!

The horrible, agonising gurgling, grumbling, gruggling sound in his belly made Darius groan and sob in hunger! Darius had never felt REAL hunger before. For his entire life, the moment he felt even the slightest bit peckish, a right royal wave of his hand brought servants RUNNING with food for their greedy master.

Desperately hungry, Darius found that the only thing that could pass his mouth with safety was plain water. Soon, he was ordering Bretton and Xavian to bring him gallons and gallons and jugs and pitchers full of water!

Unfortunately for Darius, the water only provided very temporary relief! And he found himself using his privy with uncommon frequence.

For the third night in a row that evening, Darius went to bed hungry!
