Julia sat on the elegant four poster bed, awake, wondering if now was the time the mad Jackal was going to rape her. Though, it never came, all she saw was him playing around with a deck of cards on a small table, the cards dancing on his fingers. Julia just gazed as the cards flew from hand to hand, swing around each other, all in a form of calculated chaos.

"Enjoying yourself" commented the Escapist as all the cards suddenly fell into a neat and clean deck. The cards didn't look normal, unlike those with colorful backs his had black backs, like a negative.

"No" Julia said, looking away. She then felt something tap her back, it was a card, the queen of spades to be exact. She picked it up and saw that Zena was drawn in the card's style as the queen.

"You know, there's a pattern for my chaos, raping isn't part of it though" the Escapist declared pulling a card from the deck, "I pull four cards, Spades mean I have to steal from a crinimal, the number on the card is how many people I steal from, but a face card means their rank, I drew the queen of spades."

"Who's the king?" Julia asks, looking at the card deeply.

"Me" The Escapist said as he pulled out the King of Spades but only showed it to her for a breef moment, "and yes, that means I have to steal from myself." He shuffled the deck again as he continued, "clubs represent people in the person's life who I will kidnap, same ranking go's, but if it's the king of clubs that means I kidnap the person in question. I drew the ace of clubs, one person. Diamonds represent the number of possessions I have to steal that are close to that person's heart. I drew the three of diamonds, as in her three bracelets." He then gave a deep chuckle as he showed her the ace of hearts. "Hearts represents the person's life, how many times do I poke into their personal life, as in mess around with their minds, twist their souls. The numbers represent the same thing, how many times do I do it. Face cards are special, the Jack of hearts, also known as the one eyed jack, means I have to cause the person to mutilate themselves, weather it's a simple cut or gouging their eye out isn't a preference. The Queen of hearts means I need to make them turn over a new leaf, means I need to change them mentally, how or what is something I decide. The King of Hearts, the suicide king, means I cause them to attempt suicide, weather they live or not is out of my control. I drew the queen of hearts."

"Your a monster, how can you do this to people?" Julia cried.

"Any harm done is done to themselves, and don't worry, what I'm going to do to your precious Zena is going to help her greatly." The Escapist then pulled out a Joker, "and by the way, just for clarification, the Joker means that everything is voided, I can do whatever I want to the person in question, which means I can do absolutely nothing."

"A wild card" Julia said, "but why do you follow these cards?"

"Easy, I can only do what I am dealt with, which is more fun than picking out a custom hand."
