I was breathing hard. I had been in a training session trying to unlock my shikai for a while. Suddenly, a zanpakutô appeared from behind me, and I barely dodged it. I turned around and prepared for another attack. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, mar-" I started to say, but then I was attacked again by the same zanpakutô. Dodging it again, I tried another tactic. "Bakudô number 1! Sai!" Immediately, the man I was practicing against, Kôkichirô Takezoe, had his arms basically tied behind his back, thanks to my kidô. I knew he wouldn't be like that for long, so I began to ready my next attack. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hadô number 31! Shakkahô!" A red ball of fire was generated between my hands, and I sent it flying at Kôkichirô Takezoe. He watched in slight panic as the kidô hurled toward him. At the last second though, he managed to dodge it. "Good job Shiaikun! You have great kidô potential. But there's still the fact you don't know the true name of your zanpakutô. We'll train again tomorrow. Bye now!" He walked out of the room. I sheathed my zanpakutô, and soon left as well.

I left the 10th squad barracks and decided to go walk around the Seireitei. Outside, I saw something I've never seen before. Over in the sky, something similar to a fireball was entering the Seireitei. I stood watching in amazement, although fear as well, because I suspected it was that same ryoka from earlier. Suddenly, the fireball exploded, and four smaller fireballs shot out from it. Immediately, the rest of 10th squad, and probably other squads, were in a panic, trying to find where they landed and investigate.
