Perhaps your slightly jarred over the fact that all the sins you've committed in your life have come back with a vengeance. Perhaps you've finally accepted your fate cast by the Man upstairs. And perhaps part of you thinks you can escape. Regardless of the reason, you made your decision.
You sighed hard and tried to hold back the urge to cry /I'm sorry/ you tell Sariel, /I'm ready to accept judgment./
Sariel tilted her head at your response. She didnt expect that kind of answer. She was a little curious by it.
/Are you sure?/ she asked you, /Is this your honest decision? Are you sure you wouldnt reconsider?/
/Yes, I'm sure/ famous last words. The other angels in armor remained eerily silent as you waited for whatever was to happen to finally happen. The silence from an angel was like the fire of a million guns all aimed at you and aimed to kill. You could probably die of fright. The most merciful end you could experience from the Angel of Death. Sadly that fates were not going to be that kind to you.
/Such a shame/ Sariel's dialect broke the deadly silence /you had such potential. Very well.../ And for some unexplainable reason, Sariel began to smile again. Seeing an angel smile melted as the stress from your predicament away! Nothing was more reassuring and calming than an Angel's smile. Perhaps she's impressed by your self-sacrifice and decided to spare your life?
/It shall be a thrill to hunt you down until your last breath!/
...and all that stress came RIGHT back! Damn. Not only will she still hunt you down, she's THRILLED about it! You sweated a lot as you swallowed hard, trying to fight the urge to puke from the stress! Sadly, there was no turning back. It was Hide and Seek time with Death incarnate.
/The terms of this game are simple/ Sariel announces /I will return you to your home world/ ...You translated 'home world'! Youre going back home! But she wasnt finished. /...You will have a 24 hour safe period before my angels and I come after you./
/Alright.../ was all you could say at the moment.
Sariel then said something that made the terms this 'game' at least a TEENSY bit even: /If by a particular miracle that not even the Elders could foree that you survive for 72 hours, you will earn my pardon./
Your eyes lit up with confidence! /3 days... I survive for 3 days... and that hit you've got on me will be called off?!/ Well, you didnt EXACTLY say that, but it some sort of equivalent!
Sariel nodded, /You have my word as well as my sworn oath to YaaHuuWeeHaaHaaWeeHuuYaa. A mortal that can escape Death for that long is deserving of forgiveness./
Sweet. Now you have an incentive to cheat death! Not much of one though, seeing as though it would probably take a miracle to flee such a high ranked angel as her! But if you can escape her, the damn mafia will be no problem!
Sariel waved her hand and chanted something, causing a colorful portal to appear before you.
/This will lead you to your home world/ she explained, /I would wish you luck... but to escape the likes will take far more than mere luck./
You took a deep breath and nodded. /Let the games begin!/ you shouted before jumping into the portal! May the best man/deity win!

"WHAAA?!!!" you immediately jerked your head as you were about to suffocate! Microseconds after coming to, your head was underwater! Talk about a hell of a rude awakening.
After catching your breath, you found yourself no longer in the middle of the Makai world. This was home! The sound of heavy traffic was light music to your ears. You recognize it by the angel fountain in the middle of your town that you almost drowned in! A few passerbys stopped to stare oddly at you, but quickly went about their business.
You wiped the sweat from your already wet face and sighed in relief. You were home.
"Man.. what a nightmare..." you sighed in English! Unfortunately the relief didnt last long. You looked at your arm and saw a new watch on it. You dont remember buying a watch... no matter how much your old boss egged you on about getting one.
It looked to be a silver digital watch, but instead of telling the time, it was a count down timer. The timer read '23 hours 57 minutes' and the seconds were rapidly dropping.
As if having a sixth sense for these things, you turned your head to the angel statue of the fountain... who bares a striking resemblance to a certain Angel of Death.
The memory of the nightmare hit you like a ton of brinks! The game was still on.
"Aw man..." you groaned. You got less than a day of sanctuary before she comes after you with full force! You do not have a lot of time to think about what to do until then!
With the time you have left, you can try running to the ends of the earth, become a hermit in a vast solidated land far from civilization, try to find salvation in a church and learn prayer, let your family know how much you love them before youre taken from them, mail an apology card to your old boss, mail a 'FUCK YOU' card to your current boss... the skies the limit!
However out of all those ideas, you could only pick up two thorough choices: Start running for refuge... or spend the potentially last moments of your life with your family.
Will you decide to start running for a place to hide or make up for lost time with your family? The choice was yours Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
