Chapter 3: The end of a childhood   (ID #858108)
an addition by: Shadowwolf  More by this author

Wolf stood shook himself, and began walking back to his den in the cave to find his mother. On the way back he looked up at the moon, and not for the first time he saw the face of his sister. But this time was different, instead of the last time he saw her alive, he saw the face of the elder, fully grown sister from his dream. This time it wasn't in mourning.
When he got back to his den he trotted wearily to his mother and lay down and almost instantly fell asleep again.
