It was time for work. "So, what does this thing want, exactly?" Rayven asked, figuring if anyone knew that creature, it was Beast Girl. Tugging on her gloves, Beast Girl thought a moment. It was a good question.
"I think...it wants me," she finally answered. "I mean, it was a part of me...and it got ripped away. It probably views my body and mind as its territory or something." Rayven tilted his head. A good theory...but there were some holes in it. "If that's the case, why did it flee? Why not go for you?" he asked. Beast Girl frowned. She wasn't used to being the one relied on for answers.
Still, the answer was easy enough. "It hasn't eaten anything since it formed, right? It's probably hungry and weak. We're too strong for it. A predator seeks out the weak and the sickly, culling them from the herd," she explained. "None of us qualify as that, so it will seek food elsewhere." That 'food' was easy enough to figure out. Hopefully it would just pick off someone's pet. Or, if they were really lucky, it would just trash the meat section in the local grocery store. ...eh. Probably wasn't going to happen.
"I see...proper containment shouldn't be too hard. It's not really teleporting so much as dispersing its energies vastly enough to travel through the air, invisible to us," Rayven mused. "The proper contaiment field should hold tight...though it may suffocate if we're not careful." He wondered if that would be a bad thing... Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
