It would be nice to say that the attack came without warning, but it didn’t. The government knew of the threat, but the inept administration that was in charge thought they could negotiate. Unknown to all but a few was that the Islamic extremist known as the Taliban had taken over the Mexican government seven years ago. All the bloodshed that had been going on across the border had been the Taliban eliminating the various drug cartels struggling to hold on to their way of life. President Obama had secretly set up a covert operation through the BATF called Operation Runner to arm the cartels against the Mexican Taliban.
The Taliban has just eliminated the last of cartels and are pouring across the border into the USA. The Border Patrol is not informed or armed well enough to stop them. The Government is still trying to keep it secret, but you know about it. You’ve been monitoring encrypted satellite transmissions and other sources for years. People have accused you of being paranoid and crazy, but who’s laughing now. You’ve stockpiled a rather large supply of weapons, ammo, fuel, vehicles, and food. You originally thought you would be fighting off a zombie apocalypse, or space aliens but the Taliban will do. You have banded together with some likeminded neighbors to defend your town. “Time to kill us some wet back rag heads”, you say while racking your shotgun. You then load several other weapons onto your homemade armored truck.
