Cille threw her weight forward and sat up on the ground.
"To your family?"
"No, not yet. It will be easier to see them later. I'm going to visit a friend."
Cille got up off the ground and offered a hand to Neil to pull him up.
"What will you call yourself? And what about me? I don't understand this world very well, so I shouldn't try to talk with anyone."
"I was thinking about that. I will tell you as we go."
Neil led Cille to a large park. They followed a trail through some trees and came to a small enclosed field. Within it was a girl kicking a soccer ball around. She was doing more than just playing, her breathing was heavy. She was working out pretty hard. Neil merely stood with Cille and watched the girl as she kicked the ball at some trees and then chased after it and kicked it again. After a bit of time, she missed one of her shots, and the ball came bouncing down the field towards Neil. The girl turned around and noticed that she had not been alone. When Neil saw her face, he lit up.
"Hello, sorry, we didn't mean to stare. We just happened to be walking through this place and noticed you playing."
Neil walked over to the girl with the ball in his hands.
"Nothing to worry about, I don't mind. Just getting a bit of exercise."
The girl looked over Neil and Cille quickly.
"I don't remember ever seeing you around here. Did you move from somewhere?"
Cille subtly looked over at Neil who presented the ball to the girl.
"It's more of a vacation. I'm not from here at all, I'm only briefly visiting."
The girl noticed the pair's rather exotic clothing and became curious.
"Where are from then? And my name is Analise!"
Neil cleared his throat, he was a little nervous, but there was no turning back now.
"I'm Nel, the princess of Andelta. This is my bodyguard, Cille."
Neil motioned toward Cille who hurriedly bowed after catching Neil's mispronunciation of Aldeltia.
"Wow, a real princess! I'm honored to meet you!"
"It's not a big deal Analise."
Neil caught himself acting a little too familiar with Analise, and tried to make something up to cover himself.
"I actually like to get away from being a princess from time to time. I really enjoy living a simpler life every now and then. That's why I'm here."
"Is it alright if I call you Nel then?"
Neil nodded although it still felt a little strange, even if his new name was almost the same as his old one. He was getting a bit worried about Analise asking about where he came from, and his supposed duties as a princess. Although he technically wasn't lieing, telling the truth probably wouldn't work out well. Neil decided to avoid the situation.
"Analise, is it alright if I join you? Your exercise looks like fun."
"Is it alright in that dress? I mean it looks valuable."
Even if Neil thought his clothing was valuable, it wouldn't have stopped him. He was so glad to be talking to a familiar face again and not worry about terrible monsters. In the corner of his eye, another tear began to form, but he closed his eyes and hid it.
"It's not a problem. This dress isn't really all that special."
Analise giggled a little and motioned for "Nel" to follow her. The two girls laughed as the played together, and Cille couldn't help but smile as she looked on. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
