As the sun began to set, Neil found himself standing next to Analise on a hill watching the fading twilight. Both of them were silent, simply waiting for the sun to retire for the day. When it finally fell below the horizon, Analise let herself fall backwards and land on the grassy hillside.
"It's hard to believe that I've been out here so long. I just met you Nel, but it doesn't feel that way."
Neil set himself down next to Analise.
"Is that so? I feel the same way. Maybe we used to do things like this in another life."
Laughter broke out between the two. It steadily faded into silent smiles, which prompted Analise to stand up.
"I had a lot of fun today Nel. I kind of wish I could run into someone like you everyday."
"I'll remember than Analise. I'll be leaving here very soon, but I'll make sure that you'll have more days like this."
Analise walked behind Neil, and moved around until she was to his left.
"Don't let me get in the way of your duties as a princess. I'll wait until you can come back."
Nel walked up to Analise and hugged her.
"I'll miss you, Analise."
Later than night, Neil and Cille were wandering through town looking for a place to sleep. They had left the park, saying that Nel had to attend to a meeting with her family, though as soon as they were out of sight, the two of them dispensed with their act. However, Neil had not thought about what to do after this point.
"Sorry Cille, I didn't think far enough ahead. I can't afford to rent a hotel room or anything, and I can't go home since my family wouldn't recognize me."
"It's alright, if the need arises, I will make a small barrier that we can hide in for the night. Have you decided who you want to see next?"
Neil remained silent for a moment, still focused on the street sidewalk in front of him. Cille did the same. It was only after they reached the next block when Neil responded.
"Cille?"
"Yes?"
"You said that when we're in the other world, Aldeltia, that time here stops, right?"
"That's right. If we left now and then came back after many years in Aldeltia, it would still be this night."
"I think that it might be easier if I go into the caves and return before anyone realizes that I'm gone."
"Then do you want to go back now, Neil?"
"No, there's one thing I need to do first." Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
