Wesley was excited as he finished his final modification on the holodeck system. This would be the ultimate in holodeck experiences. The holodeck equipment was based on transporter technology to create the constructs. With some modifications, Wesley had enabled the system to actually alter the body of the real people involved in the simulation. They could become actual historic figures, like Captain Archer, and command the first Enterprise. Or, perhaps experience some of the rumored romance between himself and the Vulcan T'pol.

For his first run, he programed a simulation that would be minor changes to himself. He would make himself taller and more muscular. To make it fun, he chose to do a rescue simulation. He had set it so that the Enterprise had been boarded, and Ami Langer, a cute, petite girl of Japanese decent who had recently left the Enterprise for no apparent reason, would be kidnapped. Of course, he would rescue her and carry her back to his waiting bedroom. Hey, she was his fantasy girl at the moment!

At last! All was ready! Wesley stood in the middle of the holodeck and said, "Computer. Engage program Crusher Siera Echo X-ray!" He chuckled. The holodeck disappeared and Wesley found himself standing near a botanical station as he felt his body changing. But something was wrong. He was not supposed to be in that area. That is where the first attackers break through! And he was getting smaller, not bigger!
