Accidental reaping and replacement

You are accidentally taken by a grim reaper and are given a new life as compensation.
This is an interactive story containing 72 chapters. Each chapter tells part of the story and (usually) ends with multiple choices. The owner of this Interactive Story begins with this information and guidance:
Your name is Adam Kent, one day you go to the mall to meet with your sister and you (or someone else present) gets accidentally reaped by a junior grade grim reaper. That person is then sent back to the Earth as someone new (never before existed but people don't realize that they never before existed) and must now cope with their new life and new situation.

Rules:
1. only one person is ever accidentally reaped.
2. no killing off characters
3. keep personalities consistent
4. try for good grammar
5. Adam can always notice who is 'new' (in the case where he isn't the one who was reaped

Central Characters:
Adam Kent: 20, average guy, is friend's with his sister but the two don't normally hang out together
Shelly Kent: 22, mildly popular girl, is friends with Adam and relies on him more than he knows (may or may not be dating Phil)
Tom Timms III: 20, athletic guy, Adam's best friend and is Annie's girlfriend
Annie Bonn: 19, very intellectual, lives in Australia and is dating Tom
Jake Jenson: 22, average guy, friends with Adam and Jamie's sister
Jamie Jenson: 20, overly energetic girl, is Jake's sister and has applied to go to university in Europe
Phil Button: 23, strong and very handsome guy, (may or may not be dating Shelly, depending on the storyline)
