Being a teenager is always hard. In times gone by, a teenage boy was expected to be strong, handsome, powerful, self-sufficient. One became a man at the age of 13.

In more recent times, being a teenager means having friends, forming cliques, fitting in with your friends and peers.

But when your nickname is the Teen Tower...fitting in is never going to happen.

Is it?

Welcome to the world of Darrien Towers. "Towers by Name, Towers by Nature" his friends would say. Darrien Towers is a rather special teenage boy. Most teenagers go through growth-spurts. Darrien went through a pituitary boost. He goes by the names: Darrien Towers - Teenage Colossus, The Teen Tower, The Dominator...almost anything related to size. The girls would joke and call him the world's sexiest skyscraper...it never ends.

Not yet eighteen, Darrien dwarves every single person he knows. The result of a hyperactive pituitary gland and backfiring medication-shots have turned Darrien into a massive, hulking teenage colossus who struggles through the tiny doorways of life. Step into his shoes and follow him around...and be sure to watch your head!

Peter Mansfield is Darrien Towers' neighbour and best friend. They've known each other since kindergarten and Peter has literally watched Darrien grow up...and up...and UP throughout their years of friendship. After constant bullying and various...physical restrictions...at his last school, Darrien had wanted to move. The Mansfields moved house and put Peter in a new school and encouraged the Towers family, their best friends, to do the same. So Peter and Darrien are two new boys and best friends in a totally new school...

Joey
