Luffy, his eyes focused entirely on Zoro, didn't see the sudden obstruction. While his big feet managed to utterly smash the smaller fruit, the larger fruits tripped him up, his legs flying up into the air, sending the behemoth down onto his back, causing the ground to shake all around him, cracking a few windows and causing a sign to fall down. Zoro chuckled and took off, escaping down an alleyway before Luffy managed to get back to his feet. When he saw that Zoro had escaped from him he growled, gritting his teeth before slamming his foot against the ground in a rage, knocking down everyone in the immediate vicinity. The massive captain charged down the street, the ground constantly shaking and vibrating under his tremendous weight. He was pissed and he was going to find Zoro and make him pay if it was the last thing he did!
Zoro, meanwhile, watched from the shadows as the rubber man barreled down the street past him before taking off in the opposite direction, back toward the ship. A dark scowl was on his face as he made his way through the crowds, roughly shoving aside anyone who got into his way, trying to ignore the explosive sounds coming from the other areas of town where Luffy was ripping apart anything in his path in his search for Zoro. Chopper had some explaining to do and he was going to give Zoro all the answers he had if the green haired man had to beat them out of him! Deep in the back of Zoro's mind, he refused to acknowledge a rather simple fact: Luffy's size and strength, so much greater than his own, intimidated him. He had been sure that he was the biggest, strongest guy around, and now Luffy was challenging that view! He refused to lay down and let Luffy take back control of the crew! That would be a sign of weakness, something that Zoro couldn't abide in his quest! Soon, the Thousand Sunny loomed into view. Breaking into a sprint, Zoro jumped and landed on the deck, shaking the ship back and forth. "CHOPPER!" his voice bellowed out angrily.
Below the decks, Chopper nearly dropped his beaker, Zoro's voice practically making him wet himself. "O-Oh no...He saw Luffy!" It was the only thing that made sense. Panicking, Chopper looked for something, anything he could use to appease Zoro. He could hear the huge swordsman's steps getting louder and louder as he got closer. He stopped and put his hooves together saying a little prayer before turning around to face Zoro whenever he arrived.
As all of this was going on, Luffy was standing still in the middle of the street, the only person visible in the immediate area. Everyone else had cleared out as soon as Luffy appeared, an enormous mountain of muscle with a look of pure rage on his face. Glaring left and right, Luffy immediately knew Zoro wasn't in the streets...but that didn't mean he wasn't in one of these buildings! He ripped the door off the nearest building with a slight grunt, tossing it aside before forcing his way in, shattering the door frame as he did so. The room was empty except for a lone man, his knees shaking as he looked up at Luffy. Stretching out his arm, Luffy grabbed the man by the collar and lifted him up to his face. "Hey!" He barked. "Did you see a green haired guy come in here?"
"N-No! I haven't seen anyone like that!" The man babbled.
"Feh!" Luffy carelessly tossed the man aside, shoving his way back out the door. He growled in frustration as he looked down the road at the dozen or so buildings lining the street. This might take awhile. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
