Light slowly filtered in through the window of Simon's room on the Dai-Gunzan, which they had picked up a few days ago in the fierce battle against Thymilph. There had been some close shaves but everyone had ultimately survived, though Kamina had been badly wounded. He was out of it for about a day before he woke back up and instantly wanted to continue their march across the world to face the Spiral King, but Yoko and the others managed to keep him confined to his bed. They were currently resting for a few days before moving on.

Simon stretched as he slowly opened his eyes, still feeling tired, his body a little sore. It was probably because of the hunting trip Kamina and him and gone on. Food had been scarce at the time and everyone agreed to break and find their own food in small groups. Kittan and his sisters, Kamina and Simon, Yoko, Leeron, and a few others, they all went in separate directions to find food. Later that night they had all regrouped, some bringing leftovers to store for what would be today's meal.

He tossed the covers aside and let his legs hang over the edge. His eyes opened up a little more when he felt the tips of his toes brush up against the carpet. That wasn't right...usually he could easily hang his legs over and his toes weren't even close to touching the ground! He jumped out of bed and looked over himself in the mirror. He had slept in his shorts and was surprised to see they were a little shorter than they normally were and they were hugging his slender hips a little more tightly. He grabbed his jacket and put it on, wanting to see something. When the jacket was fully on, he found that his wrists and part of his forearms were showing, the hem riding up a little higher on his body, the jacket stretching tightly across his back when he pulled his arms forward.

"Woah..." Simon said, leaning forward towards the mirror. He had just noticed another change! His chest...his flat stomach...they weren't so flat anymore! He turned to the side and was surprised to see that his chest looked a little thicker...a little rounder. He experimentally flexed the muscles, the slightly defined pecs jumping slightly at his urging. He grinned as he traced his fingers over his newly risen abs. They weren't much to look at it but they were his! He pulled the sleeve of his jacket up and flexed his arm, the bicep...wow! He actually HAD a bicep! Awesome!

"I can't wait to show big bro this! This is amazing!" Simon was really excited he was finally starting to develop. He had always been on the weak and shrimpy side so gaining a few inches in height and a few pounds of muscle was definitely wanted! He felt his self esteem rise just a little bit. Simon ran out of his room, looking for Kamina.
