Your body feels so light, in part because it now is, but your so full of energy that you can't even think of standing still. Before you run yourself out of breath though, you mind catches up to you.
"Why am I running? It doesn't even feel right."
Slowly, your feet shed their momentum, bringing your pace down to a walk. Eventually you stop and look back at where you had come from. You can't even see your house. Since it's so early, almost no one is around. There is no need to tire yourself out. Turning back around, you continue to make your way to the library, even though you begin to doubt that it will have anything helpful.
The library is a little ways off from your house, so you know that it will take a little while to get there. As you go on, more and more people show up on the streets. No one can recognize you, though you can't convince yourself of that and try to hide your face by looking down. Near the supermarket, you pass by a group of younger kids. They take note of you, to your dismay.
"Is that a boy or a girl?"
"I don't know."
"Looked like a girl face."
"But look at the hair and the clothes."
You turn and glare at the kids, hoping to scare them off. It works, but not before they try to get back at you.
"She's just ugly and is trying to hide it!"
As the group runs off and finally leaves you alone, you mumble under your breath.
"Brats."
The library isn't much further now. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
