Danny looked down at the ground, and remembered how he got up in the sky in the first place.
"Maybe if I concentrate..."
He closed his eyes, just like he did in the locker room, but this time he was calm. He focused his thoughts on where he had come from. He almost immediately felt solid ground under his feet and then opened his eyes. Danny was standing in the same spot as before. The girl who had offered him clothes had gone back to her locked, a dazed looked was on her face. She was nearly alone, as most of the other girls had left the locker room for the gym around the time that Danny had inadvertently vanished.
"I wonder if I should say anything."
He decided against it and went back to figuring out how to get out of the mess he was in.
"I must have been marked late by now..."
Unable to think of anything else to do, Danny grabbed his over sized boy gym uniform from his bag and started to change, although he couldn't gather the will to unbutton his blouse so he threw the gym shirt over it.
As he walked to exit the changing room for the gym, he felt something grab his leg.
"Huh?"
He turned around, the girl from before was glowing red, and dark shadow like arms were swarming from her shadow and surrounding Danny.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaat!"
The shadow arms expanded and covered the entire room, leaving Danny and the girl in total darkness.
"What are you doing? Who are you?"
That's when Danny noticed that the girl seemed to be unconscious. Her eyes were closed, and although she was walking toward him, her head was leaning to one side, as if she were asleep above the neck.
"We found you, magician. The Shadow Empire will conquer this world. The magicians cannot stop us."
Danny didn't understand anything, he didn't care either. All he could get out the situation was that there was some possessed girl holding him in empty space and he wanted out. He tripped as he scrambled backwards and fell on the floor.
"I'm not a magician, my name's Danny, I'm just a regular guy. Guy as in boy, I got turned into 'this' this morning so you have me confused for someone else."
He scrambled to find the ID card, which was surprisingly already in his hand. He was too panicked to notice anything strange about its sudden appearance.
"You want Brianna right? Well, that's not me, I just look like her."
The girl walked closer, and another wave of red shadow arms burst from the ground she was standing on.
"Here, take the card, it's not mine!"
Danny tossed the ID card at the fiery light and turned around so he could scurry away. He only made it a few inches before an extremely bright light went off behind him. Even the endless walls of shadow could not swallow the light, and the darkness in every direction became slightly brighter. But what really caught Danny's attention was the sound. Once the light had covered the area, a strange, otherworldly howl erupted and echoed in every direction.
Danny stopped crawling away and looked behind him. A silver staff was floating in the air, each end glowing whiter than the clearest full moon. As soon as he saw it, it started to drift towards him, yet Danny didn't feel afraid. The whole scene almost felt familiar. He instinctively stood out and reach for the staff, which howled again.
"I hear a name, Arge-Luniv."
No sooner than Danny had said this, the staff flew into his open hand. Two Purple capes, each with different symbols embroidered in gold shot back from his shoulders. His loafers sprouted little wings, and small plates of silver covered his shins, as another set of plates landed on his forearms. His transformation was completed when two halves of a breastplate came together over his body.
The light from the staff dimmed, but each end was still radiant. Danny then became aware of his new form.
"Did I do that?"
Despite being saddled with all of the extra equipment, Danny felt lighter than before. He practiced swinging his staff, and in the process discovered that its glowing ends would sweep out a pattern, a swath of light separated into 5 sections. The first section was slightly less than full for some reason.
"No power will stand before Shadow!"
The evil force possessing the girl would wait no longer and launched itself at Danny. But he was no longer afraid. He pointed the silver staff directly at his foe and ran forward.
"I hope whatever I just did isn't for show." Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
