Stephen walked into the house and smiled, reaching up to give his aunt Mariah a hug and then shook his uncle's hand. "Congratulations, uncle," he whispered as he pulled away and turned to the girl next to him. "You remember my girlfriend, Tonya?" The girl, beaming, handed over a small bouquet of flowers, Irises, that were her mom's favorite and the two women walked over to the hallway where the nursery was. Stephen closed the door behind him and the two men walked into the kitchen, leaving her standing there.
