Your name is Alec Dole. You are a 19-Year old brilliant sophomore engineering student at State University. In your spare time you have been working at the lab after hours on a secret project on your own, a matter condenser ray. You desperately want to get in to the honors program and you hope to surprise and impress your professor with the condenser.

You are working on friday afternoon. It is a holiday weekend and the school is going to be closed until the following tuesday because of memorial day.

You have just a few adjustments to make until the condenser is finished. You are anxious to finish because you have plans for a big party weekend since the school year is winding down.

Your thoughs wander to your upcoming plans for the weekend while you are less then five minutes from out the door. Its only 12:00 noon but you wanted to get out early. As you finish locking the matter condenser down your lab coat catches on the toggle switch for a second, then snaps lose. The room is briefly illuminated by a flash of light but you quickly snap the toggle back in place. It was only a milisecond and you feel fine so you pay no attention. You get in your car and drive home to your apartment just off campus, about 4 miles away.

Its while driving that you start to feel funny. You begin to sweat profusely as you pull into the parking lot of your apartment. Your whole body feels like its on fire as you close the car door and walk toward the building door. After only a few feet you drop to the pavement in pain. You pass out.

As you come to you still feel funny. You look up to see your car a few feet away only now its the size of an earth mover to you. You look around and you see other giant cars and a giant building in the distance. You realize with horror the matter condenser worked! You've been shrunk! You estimate yoursels to be only about eight inches tall.

You scramble under the car to think. The condenser has a reverse switch on it but its 4 miles away and the university is going to be locked up for the long weekend in just a few hours. You realize that at your size its going to take you possibly days to get to the lab.

You have two routes to possibly take to get back to the lab:

1. The first route is shorter but you'll have to through the heart of campus to get to the lab. You'd either have to sneak past lots of student housing(dorms, greek houses, apartments, ect.). There are sure to be lots of people out and about, maybe you can find somebody to help you.

2. The second route is slightly longer but cuts through a quiet well-to-do residential neighboorhood. The only problem is there is a huge high school in the center of the neighborhood so you'll have to sneak past that. Plus the highschool lets out in a few hours.
