You reached for the phone, slightly hesitant not knowing what could happen; however, you needed to make sure she was okay. You gulped and dialed her number.

You heard sniffling when she picked. "Yes," she answered with a hurt tone.

"Um Megan? It's me, Dan. Are you alright?" you asked.

"Oh Dan! I'm so glad that you called! I don't know what happened but suddenly I feel so...lonely," she explained.

"Er," you hesitated, "Maybe you should talk with my sister."

"No!" she yelled which surprised you. She quieted down quickly. "Sorry, I-I need to talk with you Dan. I can't talk with anybody else right now."

"Um...alright, what do you need to talk about?" you asked nervously.

"I had a dream...and when I woke up, I was on my floor with a pain in the ass, literally," she described, "then, all of a sudden, I felt so...depressed! I felt like I had lost something..."

You couldn't help but chuckle a bit; but in all seriousness, it only seemed to prove the realness of the device. You felt an urge to tell her the truth knowing it had been your fault in the first place.
