Before your very eyes, your once eleven foot tall brother suddenly rocketed up several feet, now as naked as Hunter, the thumb you'd been holding on to suddenly too thick to grab! You yelled in shock as the palm you were sitting on seemed to double, then triple, then quadruple in size, looking more and more like a field of human flesh. The rest of your once little brother's body was even more impressive! His massive chest stretched out in front of you like an insurmountable wall, heaving as Alex breathed heavily at the sudden changes. The arm your current perch was attached to seemed more like an ancient tree, thick and powerful. Even his face seemed more intimidating, despite being the visage clearly belonging to your brother. You couldn't see the rest of his body without moving to the edge of the palm and you weren't about to do that, now that you were sure you were much higher up than you had previously been!
Eventually, Alex's breathing returned to normal, his eyelids fluttering slightly before the orbs themselves focused in on you. They still looked a little glazed over after his growth spurt so you quickly got to your feet and waved your arms shouting, "Alex! I'm right here!"
Your voice no doubt barely reached his ears, but regardless, his eyes focused in on you. "J-Justin? That you?"
"Yes! Bring me up to your ear!"
Alex, somewhat shakily, did as you told him. Once his cave-like ear was near enough, you said, "This is insane!"
"I know!" Alex replied, rolling his eyes. "This whole thing has been insane!"
"Right...whatever!" you said. "Look, we've got to keep moving! Now!"
Alex giggled and said, "Why? I'm way bigger than Hunter now! Look!"
He moved his hand, lowering his fingers so you could see Hunter, still at the same height, but also still glowing and shaking. "See? He's no problem now!"
You did some quick math in your head. That burn from the key seemed to have made Alex about four times bigger than his previous eleven feet, making him about forty-four feet tall, give or take a few feet. If the same held true for Hunter, who had previously been thirty feet tall then...Oh crap!
"ALEX!" you shouted desperately, waving your arms at him again. "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!"
"Huh? What are you--"
He was interrupted as Hunter suddenly surged upward in height, matching Alex's size in a few spurts before rocketing upward at an even greater speed, his naked body rearing into the sky like some kind of god. Alex's mouth dropped open as the gap in their size was suddenly widened again, dramatically. Falling back, your brother began to run away, stumbling slightly as the ground rumbled from Hunter's growth. Clocking in at one hundred and twenty feet tall, Hunter was now truly a force to be reckoned with, unlike any you had ever seen before. Judging by the grin on his face, he knew it too!
"Oh man...this key is AWESOME!" He thundered, his voice incredibly loud to your tiny ears. "I wonder if it has any other effects?"
He held the now truly tiny key in his palm, poking at it with his finger. For some odd reason, it wasn't giving him a shock of any kind like it had before. "Hmm... I wonder if it's stuck on burn now?"
As Hunter fiddled with the key, Alex desperately searched for a place to hide. All the houses in this neighborhood appeared to be the same, all pink colored two story houses set in little groups, connected by streets that didn't seem to have a definite beginning or end. It was almost like being caught in something akin to an M.C. Escher painting, an impossible landscape that only led in circles. Luckily for you, you weren't truly going around in circles, and Hunter wasn't attempting to come after you...yet!
"Bro... what are we going to do?" Alex asked, looking a bit worried. His animosity toward you had apparently been set aside for now. That was one lucky break for you, at least.
"I don't know...we've got to find a place to hide!"
"Right! Hide...Where?"
Before you could answer, Alex skidded to a halt in front of one of the houses. You were about to question him on this when he merely pointed. Looking down, getting a slight sense of vertigo, you noticed that the door to the house was open. You noticed at every other house you had passed that the doors were all closed. Why was this one in particular open?
Alex suddenly set you down as carefully as he could onto the door step of the house. You looked up at him with a confused look on your face. "Go in! Maybe there's something in there to help us!"
You sighed and looked at the door. Oddly enough, the door frame was half your size! The house had more in common with a playhouse than an actual house. The oddities of this world never ceased, it seemed. Getting down on your hands and knees, you barely manage to squeeze into the tiny house which was, once again, a replica of your own, just in miniature now. Hoping against hope, you began to search as best you could, looking for something, ANYTHING that could help you! Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
