Sakura Kinomoto awoke from her slumber; it took her a while to remember what day it was in her half-asleep state but when she did she brightened up. Today was her birthday! She leapt out of bed and got herself together.

Something wasn't quite right. There was no call for breakfast from her father or her brother, no sound of them moving about. For now she just thought they had something special planned, but she didn't realise just how special it was.

Upon going downstairs and into the kitchen she habitually said. "Morn..." She was stunned to see nobody there but her breakfast had already been served and steam was still coming off. She sat down to start, wondering what was going on, as she ate she looked down to see a formation on the tabletop spelling 'Happy Birthday' in her native Japanese. She found a sweet thought until she took a closer look. This was certainly a surprise and a shock. There was a whole team of maids one-fiftieth normal size on the tabletop!

"Happy Birthday, Empress Sakura!" They cried out.
