"Hi. This is Kathy Hodgson."
"Oh hey Kathy? How are you?"
"I'm doing good. Listen, you haven't responded to the invite, and I was wondering if you could give me a final word."
"Invite?" Tim asked.
"Oh, did you not receive yours?"
"I don't recall getting one."
I'm so sorry! I was writing so many invitations that yours must have been wrong! Anyways, tomorrow at 3 we are having a welcome party at our house for the new neighbors, The Tamsons, and we would love for you to join us."
Carol was stunned. No one ever invited her anywhere. Maybe this was the time that she could start changing her life and get back into the world.
