The battle began, the grunt sending forth his Carvanah."Let me handle this guy, Keith! Brendan said. You stood back. Even though this guy clearly wasn't one to abide the rules, you didn't want to gang up on him.
"Mudkip, let's show this guy some manners!" Brendan yelled, sending Mudkip out. You watched as the two sides fought it out.
"Carvanah- Bite attack!" the grunt ordered as the piranha pokemon bit into Mudkip's side. Mudkip squealed in pain.
"Mudkip, hang in there and use Bide!" Keith countered. Mudkip nodded and started to glow slightly, absorbing the damage it was taking.
"You're just going to sit there and take it huh? Suit yourself, Carvanah, take another Bite out of it!" The grunt said, forwarding the vivacious pokemon to take another chomp at Mudkip. Keith watched in terror, hoping Mudkip could last.
"Mudkip, just hang in there a little more!" Brendan pleaded. The grunt ordered another Bite attack, which the Carvanah obliged to do. This nearly KO'd Mudkip, but it also empowered Bide.
"Unleash the pent-up energy, Mudkip!" Brendan cried. There was a bright flash, and when it cleared, the Carvanah had been knocked out senseless.
"What!?" The grunt bellowed, "Unbeliveable!" He returned his pokemon and dashed off. In his haste, he dropped a box. Probably the "goods" he stole. Keith picked it up to return it while Brendan returned Mudkip to his pokeball.
