Minato Namikaze was giving his life to protect the village he loved. With a sigh he realized he would not see his only child grow up. It was his hope that the village would see Naruto as a hero, a jailer protecting the village from the wrath of the Kyūbi no Yōko.

Minato would be shocked and horrified to see what his son's life actual came to. The pain and suffering his child would be forced to endure would crush even Minato's spirit. Minato sealed the fox away and condemned his son to hell on earth.
