Back at City Hall, Kari and Mimi were waiting for their friends to return. They too were having trouble thinking.

"What are we doing here?" Mimi asked. She had lost her concentration and was floating above Kari.

"Uh, I don't know." Kari answered. she didn't even notice that Gatomon was missing.

Gatomon was floating aimlessly through a hallway. She happened to pass by two Madpuffymon during her little voyage.

"Looks like they chose to be citizens." The first one said.

"Yep." The second one said. "How long will it be before they completely zone out?"

"Should only be a couple hours." The first one said.

Gatomon floated past the Madpuffymon until she reached the end of the hall. Then she dug her claws into the wall and turned the corner. For some reason, she didn't seem to be affected how the digimon suggested. Now she had to get herself and the others out.
