" What's really going on? You were mumbling in your sleep," you ask knowing Mike is trying to hide something. Most guys don't gain 60 pounds at college.
"What did I say?" Mike asks in an almost demanding tone of voice while looking over at you.
"Something about 'powder' and 'wish'," you recite.
"I said that, oh boy.." Mike says looking down at his sandwiches.
"What's wrong Mike? What made you gain so much weight?" you ask with a bit of concern.
"Are you sure you see a 60 pound gain?" Mike asks turning towards you, his big hairy gut facing you.
"Yeah," you nod.
"Ok, so it does have some limits," Mike says thinking.
"What happened Mike?" you ask again," What made you a blimp?"
"There was this guy at college," Mike starts," A tiny thin guy, kind of like you (Insert Your Name Here), except he's a complete health nut. I mean, to the point he preaches about having a 6 pack and eating only organic food and shit like that."
"Go on," you say and hope Mike doesn't think you're a fitness nut.
"Anyway, we were at the college cafeteria and this guy is sitting at the table with us and is talking about his diets and how there isn't any 'food' on the menu," Mike explains," You know me. I've never been a picky eater..."
"Clearly," you nod.
Mike gives you a look, then continues," He goes on about the food while I'm chewing away and he points to me and says I'm a hog growing fatter on premanufactured shit and such. I just smiled, swallowed the mouthful of food and said,' It's not bad.' And he goes Furious! He goes red in the face and tries to convince me that the food they were serving was completely terrible. I know it was no Grandma's turkey dinner, but it was still good. So he says, 'If you like it so much..' and whips out this little bottle of stuff and mixes it into a glass. Next thing I know I wake up and I'm 80 pounds heavier then when I got there."
"Holy!" you say," What happened?"
"Seems the guy had some kind of Wishing Powder,” Mike says feeling his belly,” He made me eat every single article of food in that cafeteria.”
“Wow,” you say,” What else?”
“He also made a wish whenever I get challenged to a food eating contest, I would accept and eat until I win and no one else would notice my gains.”
“You said you’ve only gained 60 pounds,” you say.
“Yeah, I’ve been trying to keep a handle on my eating and tried to work some of this flab off,” Mike states,” Also those last few weeks were stressful and it isn’t uncommon for people to lose weight during that time. I wonder why you can see my gains and no one else can..?”
