After a minute of taking it in, smiling and smacking great round gut a couple times for inspiration, Mike seems to realize the deeper meaning. That he's also just wished for something else.

"But this means I've wished to gain all summer too, doesn't it?"

"Yup."

"Well, let's get to it, then, man!" His eye twinkles. He puts on his ever too small t-shirt. "We're goin' out to a buffet!"

You arrive at King Henry's in no time at all. Mike practically swaggers across the parking lot, his tight t-shirt showing off every last roll above his 66" jeans. Shown to a table inside, Mike remarks to you, "You know, I wish you could eat as much as me. In fact, I wish you would eat as much as me, all summer long!" He looks at you, grins and winks, then adds, "It's more fun having an eating buddy. The other guys on the line kept me hungry all school year, and look at the results! Besides, I'm sure you've always wanted to be big like me and Dad. C'mon, let's EAT!"

You follow him gladly to the steam tables, your stomach growling hungrily inside. If only Mike knew just how much you've wanted to be big like him... or may be he does.
