A large mass of bubbles rose up to the surface of the water, followed close behind by the large beast that created them. With a rumbling growl, the horned shell of the monstrous squid peirced the water.

"Cap'n!" Jennings yelled. "Kraken! Dead ahead!"

"What?!" Syrup ran to the front of the boat. "Well, turn the ship!"

"Aye aye!" Jennings nodded. "ALL HANDS ON DECK!" Various members of the Black Sugar Gang began priming cannons, reading harpoons, and the like. Meanwhile, Jennings cranked the wheel hard to the right- perhaps too hard.

"Ack!" Syrup stumbled to the left as the massive waves formed by the Kraken's surfacing smashed against the boat mid-turn. In a flash, she dropped over the edge of the ship, and into the briney sea.

"CAP'N!" A random member of the crew rushed to the side of the ship. "Hang on!" A rope was hastily thrown over the side of the ship.

"Great." Syrup groaned. "And the day had begun so well, too." She swam over and grabbed the rope, but at the same time felt a tentacle wrap around her right leg. Gasping, Syrup was suddenly dragged under. The rope followed her down, as there was a long length of it left on the ship.

As she began to sink below, Syrup struggled with the tentalce wrapped around her foot. Her breath was running out, as was the rope.

Suddenly, the amulet around her neck began to glow. Gasping at the sight, Syrup felt the salty sea water go down her throat... and through the rest of her body.

This confused Syrup. She now felt the coldness of the water on the inside of her body as well, but inside her feet. It was almost as if her body had become hollow. Intrigued, and almost forgetting about her current situation, Syrup opened her mouth wide, letting the water in.

The sudden entrance of the water expanded Syrup's body greatly. Her body rounded out and her legs disappeared. This left the Kraken nothing to hold onto, and the tentacle slipped out from around Syrup. Feeling this, Syrup felt quite relieved, and began swimming toward the surface. It was an amusing sight, as the water sloshed through her body, enlarging different parts of her body. Finally, she surfaced, and tugged on the rope.

"Cap'n!" Jennings smiled, looking down at her. "Hang on, we'll pull you up!"

Syrup sighed as she felt herself rise out of the water- then yelped as the rope suddenly, jerked. Looking down at herself, she found out why.

The water inside her body, now very susceptible to gravity, had all stuck itself into Syrup's legs and feet. Her legs stretched a good two feet more than they used to, ending with two massive spheres with toes where her feet used to be.

"Geez, I don't mean to be rash, but the Captain needs to lose a little weight!" A random goom said as he hoisted up the rope.

"I'll say. I mean, what has she been eat... ing?" The crew fell silent as Syrup flopped over the edge of the ship, landing on deck with a wet plop.

Some of the water moved from her legs to her head as she lay dazed on the deck, filling out her cheeks, and causing her face to swell outward. As she stood up, most water flowed into her feet, making each of them almost half the size of her body. Her head, though sagging and stretched slightly, was almost as large as that.

"..Cap'n.. What happened"

"Long story." Syrup managed through her stretched lips. "Right now..."
