Just as Trunks was resigning himself to another round of harsh treatment from Goten, he spotted something shining in the rubble below him. Heart pounding, and hoping he wasn't just seeing some broken glass, Trunks flew down and shifted some of the rubble. His heart leaped as he saw the gun. His look of surprise at having actually found the thing was replaced with a primal grin as he realized that he now finally had the upper hand over Goten. He turned around, getting ready to fly off to Goten and get some revenge, when he came face to face with Goten's feet. Before he could do anything else, Goten reached down and grabbed Trunks bringing him to his face. Goten grinned at Trunks and said, "Okay Trunks I'm ready for some more fun!"

Trunks was livid. How unfair this all was! He was seconds away from revenge and now he was going to be forced to do who knew what to Goten. A chilling thought occurred to him as Goten looked around for a place to take Trunks. What if Goten got his hands on the gun? What sort of havoc would he wreak? Worse, what would become of Trunks? Trunks tried to wiggle his hands and discovered the barrel of the gun was pressed against Goten's huge fingers. Trunks tried to move his index finger and found that he could press the trigger if he tried hard enough. That left him with two options: take a chance and fire the gun, hoping to shrink Goten, or bide his time until he could check what the setting on the gun was to properly use it but chance having Goten steal it away from him. Neither choice was very safe or appealing but unless Trunks made a decision now it was going to be made for him.
