"There's only one way." Miroku said. "Someone has to jump down Kohaku's throat and the retrieve the shards from his stomach. When the jewels are out, he should shrink back to normal."
"But who's going in?" Shippou asked.
Everyone looked at him.
"Me? Why me?" He said.
"Because your the smallest! Now get in there!" Inuyasha said throwing the little fox demon at Kohaku. He landed on Kohaku's foot and started to scramble up his leg. Kohaku kept on attacking the group.

Meanwhile, Naraku was watching the entire ordeal, hidden.
"Well, Kohaku did get the jewel shards. This is working out quite nicely."
Suddenly he saw Shippou climbing up the front of Kohaku's shirt.
"So he's trying to get the shards out of him...Well, maybe I can prevent that fox from getting the shards."
He reached into his pockets and pulled out several more shards he had found. He called his poison insects and gave a shard to each of them with the following instructions," Throw these shards down Kohaku's throat."
They buzzed off and flew towards Kohaku.
"Look! Naraku's poison insects!" Sango yelled.
"They each have a shard of the jewel!" Kagome said.
Just as Shippou reached Kohaku's mouth, the insects arrived and he slipped and fell into Kohaku's pocket. The insects tossed the shards into Kohaku who started to grow even more.
