"...Take my place for a while!" the guardian said. Inuyasha jumped back in surprise, "WHAT!?" he shrieked.

"You heard me! This job gets tiresome after having to keep people in check for over 1,000 years! I need a break! But I can't leave the gates of heaven unattended, so either you take my place for say half an hour? Or you stay dead!" the woman said shrewdly.
