Inuyasha struggled to remember what exactly it was that he was supposed to do.
"You say a demon, a mountain, and a weapon?" Miroku asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"I remember a story I heard once as a child of a demon that was sealed in a mountain after stealing a powerful rod of some sort. The details are vague but--"
Miroku was interupted as Inuyasha leaped into the air, his memory returned.
"Hold on! I know where we're going now!"
Everyone tried to hold onto something.
-Meanwhile at Heavens Gates-
Cassandra hastily stuffed the picture into the front of her robe and said, "So how did you die anyway? I thought you were sealed in the mountain."
The demon's eyes narrowed as he said, "Yes, you heard correct. I was trapped in a mountain as it was the only thing that could house my enormous body. I was not as you see me now. No...I was a beast! Walking on four legs with four horns, boiling red eyes, and fangs the size of trees! The last thing I remember was the priests sealing me and the rod in seperate peaks. Then it only seemed a second later, though judging by the things I saw several hundred years must have past, I saw a small demon girl standing before me. She smiled a strange smile and I grinned down at her. But she had nothing to say. She only touched one of my toes and I felt life draining from me. I don't know what that demon girl is, but her touch is death! My body dissolved from the monstrous state back to my normal form. And now you see me here before you."
Cassandra looked directly into his eyes and said, "And now you want me to bring you back to life so that you might destroy this demoness and take back the rod in atonement?"
The demon bowed and said, "You are correct."
She puffed up her cheeks and blew a raspberry at him.
"Hah! Like I can believe you!"
The demon wiped the spit from his eyes and said, "And how do you expect to retrieve both halves of the rod and the Chronos Stone?"
"I've already sent someone! You will not be needed."
"Ahh, but what if I told you I hid one half of the rod."
"How? You were killed as soon as you were released."
"In the last vestiges of my life, I managed to use the remaining divine powers I had to spirit away the Side of Heaven, the holding niche for the Chronos Stone on the top of it, to a secret location. I could go retrieve it...if I were alive."
Cassandra bit her lip in consternation. Here was a dilema! Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
