Roy moved a little slower and had a generous amount of the dust cover him, while Ed, taken by surprise was covered from head to foot. A bright white light engulfed all three like a camera flash before fading away.
"What was that?" Al asked shakily.
"I have no idea." Roy said, dusting himself off.
"Whatever it is, it's sticking to me like glue!" Ed yelled trying to rub the dust off.
"Calm down, Fullmetal. I'm sure whatever this stuff is, it isn't dangerous."
"And how can you be so sure?" Ed retorted.
Roy lifted a finger, took a breath...and couldn't really find an answer to that question.
"I found a tag." Al said, holding up a small piece of paper.
"What's it say?" Both Ed and Roy asked.
"It says...Enjoy my little gift boys. It's sure to give you a different...perspective on things. Ciao!"
"That's it? No name, or anything?" Ed said.
"Nope. That's it."
"Well, that settles it! Whatever this stuff is, it can't be dangerous!" Roy said, grinning. "Obviously it's a gift from some admirers and should therefore be treated with respect!"
Ed rolled his eyes and tried, once more, to brush the dust off. Suddenly, Roy groaned and grabbed his head, sitting down at his desk.
"What's wrong Colonel?" Al asked in concern.
"I don't know...My body feels so strange..."
"See! I told you this stuff was dangerous!" Ed yelled, desperatley trying to get the dust off.
Before anymore could be said, Roy began to grow. It was slow at first, and he didn't seem to know what was happening to him. He soon became wedged in his chair, his legs crushed up against his desk.
"What the hell...?" Was about all Ed could manage to say.
The dizziness and the sick achy feeling throughout his body disappeared and Roy got stock of his situation.
"Hmmm...Wow Fullmetal. I didn't think it was possible, but you look smaller than ever!"
"THAT'S ALL YOU CAN SAY AFTER WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!?!?!? YOU'RE CRAZY!!!!!
"Now, now there's no need to get angry, I just..." Roy suddenly stopped as he realized he couldn't stand up, being wedged in his chair. The best he could do was bend over and fall onto his hands and knees.
"A little help?" He said crossly to Ed and Al.
Al instantly ran over and began pulling on the chair, while Ed just stood by and laughed. It took a little bit, but Al managed to pull the chair off. Roy stood up and cracked his head on his office ceiling, that being about ten feet high.
"This is going to take some getting used too..."
"You're not really planning on staying that size are you Colonel?" Al asked in surprise.
"Of course not Al," Roy said. "It would be impractical. I'm sure someone in East or Central can fix this."
"And what about me?" Ed asked, indicating the thick coating of dust.
"I'm sure you'll be fine Fullmetal," Roy said impatiently, waving his hand. "Now if you don't mind, I have a few phone calls to make."
Ed and Al left Roy as he tried to use a phone that just a little bit too small for him.
Meanwhile, on a rooftop across from Eastern HQ...
"Well, this is an interesting development!" Envy said, as he watched the events in Roy's office.
"Yes..." Lust said, deep in thought. "But who do you suppose sent them that Alchemy Dust?"
"Who knows?" Envy said shrugging. "It's safe to say it might be someone they know..."
"But who?" Lust said. "This could get out of hand if we're not careful."
"What's the worst that can happen?" Envy said.
Back inside HQ...
Havoc was about to go into Roy's office with a what appeared to be a file of some sort when Ed stopped him.
"I wouldn't go in there right now." Ed said.
Havoc just stared at Ed, covered completely in the white dust.
"I probably don't want to know, but what are you covered in?" Havoc asked.
"It's a long story." Ed said with a sigh. "Safe to say, I need a shower."
So Ed headed back to his hotel while Al told Havoc, Hawkeye, and the rest of the group at Eastern HQ what happened in Roy's office.
"So, what, Roy's some kind of giant in there?" Havoc asked.
"Yeah, that's about it." Al said.
"And how does he plan on fixing it?" Havoc said.
"He's calling for help right now." Al said.
"Good," Hawkeye said. "I think it's best we finish this business before it gets worse."
As though waiting for her to say that, a huge thump was heard from inside Roy's office as well as a loud curse.
Havoc threw open the door and revealed a strange sight. The dust hadn't been through with it's power and Roy had grown again. His head was still at the ceiling, but he was sitting down and his back was pressed against the far wall. His knees were also touching the ceiling and his feet were on either sides of the doorframe.
"And things just got worse." Havoc said with a sweatdrop. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
