The next few days brought their own drama at work, but nothing was more surprising than coming home each night and seeing how much Tyler had grown. Sitting at the kitchen table doing his homework, lying on the couch watching TV, playing video games while sitting on the floor, these were all normal actions for Tyler. It was just amazing to see someone with the body of an adult doing them. In fact, the only way you could tell that Tyler wasn't an adult was to look at his face, which still had its boyish nature to it, cemented with a wide grin; Tyler was truly happy having become this big.

Of course, eventually our mom decided something had to be done about it, so we went to the same doctor's office where he had gotten the flu shot. By this time Tyler stood out among a crowd, at nearly seven feet tall and large, thick biceps and pecs. He had gotten used to stealing my clothes, as his old ones didn't fit him any more, but now most of my shirts were too small for him as well. He usually walked around the house shirtless, only wearing a tight-fitting pair of nylon shorts, but since we were going out in public, Mom made him put on a t-shirt as well, which still was form-fitting around his muscles and not quite covering his stomach.

As soon as we walked into the waiting room, the nurse at the front desk covered her mouth, and ran back to get the doctor. We were quickly ushered into a private room, where we only had to wait a few minutes until the doctor came in.

"Well, I see you're back, Tyler," he said with a nervous look on his face. "And healthy as ever, it seems."

"You call this healthy?" Mom said, in hysterics. "What's happening to my baby?"

"I'll be frank, ma'am. The last time you were here, there was a slight mix-up, and it seems Tyler got an experimental development enhancer, instead of the flu shot."

"A mix-up?" Mom shrieked. "What's going to happen with him?"

"Well, the good news is, that there doesn't seem to be any negative side effects, but we're not sure when the growth will stop. On the mice we had tested them on, most stopped growing at around twice their original sizes. But some... well, let's just say we had to abort the experiment early."

Mom just stood there in shock, but Tyler couldn't have been more happy with the news he was hearing. "Awesome!! So I'm going to become, like, a giant?"

Not wanting the idea of power to go to far to his head, I asked another question before the doctor could answer. "You said there were no side effects, right?"

"Well, no negative side effects." The doctor flipped through some charts. "In addition to the growth, some of the subjects have experienced an increase in thirst, a larger appetite, and an increased sex drive. But those were in less than five percent of the cases."

"Is there anything you can do?" Mom asked.

"Unfortunately, while we're still at work on the process, the changes have so far proved to be irreversible. Of course, our corporate backers understand the struggles that you are going to be up against, and have agreed to financially support the development of the boy until he reaches adulthood. I just need you to sign these papers..."

The rest of the day went uneventfully. On the drive home, Tyler kept going on and on about being the biggest person on earth, which was a thought that, while scary, also seemed a little interesting. I figured I could get used to the idea of being the big brother to a modern day Hercules. I just needed to make sure that I stayed on Tyler's good side.

That night, however, proved that their were going to be new challenges that awaited me if I was going to keep Tyler happy.
