When she was asked to go to the boardwalk with the other Titans, Raven declined in favor of taking patrol over the east end of town. While she flew over the city rooftops, Raven thought she saw something enter one of the factories. Raven flew down to the skylight on the roof to take inside and make sure.

Raven peeked through the skylight, but it was too dark inside to see anything clearly. She decided to go inside, opening the window with her powers, and float down inside.

Raven observed the factory while she hovered ten feet from the floor. She would've gone lower, but there was a strange odor that seemed to intensify the further she went. Based on her observation, the factory dealt in making large gas tanks. Unfortunately, it was still too dark to see anything.

As Raven thought about, just what was it she saw? It wasn't the right shape for a person. It could've been a robot, but aside from the fact Gizmo was in jail, no one had access to the any sort of technology for what she saw.

But little did Raven know, but it was a robot she saw. And that same robot had positioned itself directly under her as it prepared to launch a special gas cartridge between her legs. The cartridge had more than enough gas to fill Raven to the point where her cloak wouldn't be able to cover her.

All Raven heard before the cartridge hit home was a small "pfft!" sound as it was launched.
