It all started with a trip to the boardwalk. After going on some of the rides, Starfire wanted to get a balloon. It was very pretty when she got it, although it saddened her when she learned that the helium would wear off, and the balloon would eventually fall to the floor.

But the more she thought about it, the more curious she got. Where did the helium go? The balloon was tied at the bottom, and there wasn't any other hole that she knew of. She decided to look her balloon over when she got back to Titans Tower.

Starfire poked and prodded her balloon. There didn't seem to anything that would make the gas inside just where off. Then it dawned on her: if the knot at the bottom of the balloon wasn't tied air-tight, then the helium just slowly seeps out of the balloon. And being stronger than a normal human, all she had to do was make the knot tighter.

Of course, this meant undoing the knot that was already there. It took a while, but Starfire was able to undo the knot. Part way during her attempt, she had to put the tip of the balloon in her mouth so she could use both hands freely. She was able to undo the knot, but she wasn't ready for how fast the helium would leak out.

Of course for the sake of this story, this triggered an extremely rare, and potent, Tamaranian allergy...
