"I'll have to check with the nurse. A common form is that an abortion will halt the pregnancy, but as soon as I digest somebody, the pregnancy will resume as if the abortion had not happened. I'll have to give birth or never vore again.
"Another is that I am pregnant with everybody I have ever eaten and will give birth to all of them. An abortion in that case merely alters the order they are born in.
"Of course, it could be that the birth process will be almost normal, and the abortion will solve the whole thing, but that is not the way to bet.
"There are several others, but we will have to see what the nurse says. Right now, I want breakfast. Fetch me two Trainees. They won't like the idea of being a meal even if I don't make it permanent, so you may have to convince them. Do what you have to do."
