You realize that Failiel is probably hearing all of this in horror. She must have realized her magic was gone the moment you crossed the threshold of the house. Now, you know she’s in a state of panic, fearing what you’ll do.
You feel a strong pang of guilt- Failiel may have been uppity with you, but she doesn’t deserve this. She put herself in your stomach because she pitied you; she decided to help you, and now she sits huddled in a defenseless ball, hoping for the same mercy.
“Look, girls,” you begin. You know this is going to be very, very bad.
“What? That your girlfriend in there or something? You wouldn’t be the first…”
“No! No. Not a girlfriend, it’s just that I told her not to worry because I took that potion and all, and now you’re making me do something she didn’t bargain for. That’s all.”
Some of the girls lean forward in their chairs, and the air quickly thickens. You look left and right quickly, noting exit strategies. “Is that a ‘No’ I hear?” The head girl doesn’t seem as angry as you would have thought.
“I uh, think I should say, um, that it’s not fair to the girl and all, so, y’know…”
“Well,” she licks her lips, “one way or the other, this potion is getting used, if you get my drift.”
And you do. A one way trip to her stomach and Failiel goes with you. You’ve got to make a run for it- the head girl is standing up now:
“Yes, or no?”
“NOO!” You scream the answer as you throw yourself at the nearby hallway, heading for the exit. The girls are on their feet at once, and as you flee, you hear the ‘click’ of an electronic lock at the end of the hallway. The door. A sharp right-hand turn brings you into the kitchen- bad thoughts! There’s a window. A large soup pot comes to hand; the window shatters; you leap, thankful that your captive was a light one. You sail through the liberated window frame, straight into-
A bedroom. You crash face-first into the floor before you realize the sudden change in surroundings. It would be safe to guess that Failiel, her powers restored upon exit, pulled another of her magic tricks on you, and this time you don’t mind. Suddenly, your stomach- opens. As crazy as it seems, a vertical opening just appears, and widens, depositing a naked, rather wet, and utterly terrified anime mage onto the floor beside you. The opening disappears as quickly as it came.
Failiel rolls over and looks at you. She is shivering- cold, terrified, or both. And then she leans her head forward and gives you a small kiss on the cheek.
You blink, and try to think of something to say, but she’s already up and heading for the shower. You sit on the bed and wait, not knowing what you’ll say to her, or how you’re going to deal with Alpha Beta Alpha.
A short while later, Failiel emerges, wrapped in a towel. As she approaches, it morphs into a set of clothing not unlike what she was wearing earlier. You suddenly remember you left your bag, with her clothes inside, at the house. At least you didn’t have your books in there!
She stops in front of you; she looks a little different- her glasses! Phew, you put those in your pocket. She extends her hand, and you reach into your jeans and fetch them. You offer her glasses wordlessly, but she takes your hand instead, pulling you up to standing.
“You realize what you did back there- they’re going to get you for that. You won’t be safe around here anymore.” She sounds very quiet, not at all the confident mage who bested you earlier.
“I know.” You really don’t know what to say.
“Why didn’t you?”
You asked yourself the same thing while running down that hallway; you sigh. “It didn’t seem right. You cut me a break; I couldn’t just go off and do that. I- I don’t know what to do now.”
“Well, you’ll have to stay here for at least the night- you won’t be safe anywhere else. Where are your books?”
Stay the night? Looks like somehow you managed to make a powerful ally! “I left those in one of the freshman dorms- here, I wrote it down; I was hoping to transfer to the ABA house, but I think I’ll pass on that now.”
Failiel vanishes in a small burst of light. Maybe she’s getting your books? You feel awfully jittery- an entire house is out to get you (permanently!) and your future lies in the hands of a powerful mage whose life you just endangered. Sure, you made a tough choice to save her, but that doesn’t seem to make you feel any better.
‘Zip!’ You are startled out of that thought as Failiel reappears, holding your books.
“Here. Look, I guess I’m gonna have to teleport you to your classes tomorrow- I don’t think you’ll make it on your own. You should be safe once you’re in, teachers aren’t going to let anybody use that stuff on you even if you’re fodding for another class. But the halls are another thing.”
“Gee, thanks. That’s really nice-“
“Hey, I’m not about to let them keep you from doing my papers- we made a deal. I’m going to go get some dinner. You’d better stay here…”
She leaves you sitting anxiously on the bed again. You wonder if you’re still safe here if she’s not around. One thing’s for sure, this school is going to leave you either a master of vore or a helping of nutrients. Hopefully Failiel’s charitable attitude will last- you may have saved her, but you got her into that mess in the first place.
Failiel is not gone long. Not surprising, all things considered. Her belly doesn’t look any bigger; you to suspect she pulled her shrinking trick on her targets.
“Uh, are you hungry?”
“Well,” you reply…
What do you know; she must have liked being eaten after all. She makes a terrific meal, too! You feel much better after she lets you digest her- and you thought you’d never get to eat.
As soon as Failiel gets back from reforming in the nurse’s office, you’ll
