You have read somewhere that women do these sort of things because they are feeling insecure and want assurance you will be around when they need you. Doesn't sound sensible to you, but you have long ago acknowledged that women are crazy. Cute, and a necessity of your life, but still crazy.
But the advice was that you indulge their whims if you can. And it should not take the 2 of you too long to find some Chinese lass for her to devour.

"Ok, let's hunt up your breakfast."

But as you start for the door, the black girl yells out "Wait, you can't leave me like this!"

"The machine doesn't go in reverse, so you will just have to hang around until lunch time." [You of course deem this a much better joke than she does.]

"Look, you can just press the release and let me loose. Then you can put me back in chains when it's lunch time."

"Yeah sure. That's if you don't take a hike while we are gone and we never get to eat you."

She seems scandalized. "That would be cheating. I'd never do that, and neither would any of the other girls." There is a chorus of agreement from the larder, most of whom ask to be released and promise to show up to be put back in chains at meal time.
Sounds like pure bull to you, but you recall back in the shop class that someone said that no decent girl would take advantage of an easy way to escape in order to avoid being food. Lizzy also confirms the basic story, but confesses she never listened too close to the details. She confesses there may well be some loopholes that will mean letting the girls loose will mean you never see them again. Still, she thinks it a good idea to take the risk.
