Accepting the date for this evening seems to have good and bad effects. The good is that Rickie is now willing to let Beckie hog his attentions. That is the bad too, at least part of it. You wouldn't mind Rickie paying attention to you, if he would do so a little less vigorously.

However, the really bad is that Kia now has you to herself. And she is just as bad as Rickie about wanting you. Not that this is entirely undesirable. It would be, oh so much simpler to deal with if it was. But Kia is a very nice girl, when she isn't trying to feel you up. And you have to admit she attracts you too. That of course is also disturbing. Mother had always taught you that proper young ladies kept their urges for boys under control. Having urges for girls was not supposed to happen. Well, if you and Kia do do something lurid, at least your mother will never think to ask if you did.

But what will Kia do? In this school "You look good enough to eat" has several meanings. And Kia may mean all of them. You consider running, but you have been warned you will not get far before you are meat. And besides, Kia is rather nice. You are enjoying her speak well of you. You haven't been shut out from getting praise, but as to getting what you think is your share... Well, that is a different matter. It is quite pleasing having her compliment your figure, your brains, your taste...[OK, that one may be a little less nice under the circumstances.]

In any case, you are worrying about her attentions as the guide presents the pool to you. "Now this has become the campus center for casual consumption.
