It turns out, your window faces east, and being on the fourth floor, the sun is easily visible over the trees at a much earlier time. Your stomach is still two-thirds its size when you went to sleep at 10 PM--this is not at all a sufficient amount of time to let your conscious mind trip on dreams while your body works hard at breaking down other bodies. You look at the clock: 6:58 AM.
No, thank you.
Providing your own grunting noise fanfare, you eventually get up, waddle over to the window, and tug on the string. Nope, that pulls the blinds up and down. You look around--aha! there it is. You spin a little disc thing at the top and it orientates the blind vertically, so it blocks all the light instead, except of course for the indirect light spilling out from around the edges of the blinds, and the fact that the light still penetrates the off-white blinds softly.
As you head back to your bed, you see that your door is still open from last night, and that while it shows evidence of having been moved, your roommate's bed is still made in the exact way it was when you came in, so she must never have come in at all. It doesn't mean you've eaten her yet, but it's leaning that way. Lastly, you glance at your bare desk and see that next to your key is an envelope.
Sighing that you're not going back to sleep, you trudge to the desk and open the envelope.
It's nothing bad--it's just your class schedule. World History 1, History of Vore, Algebra 2, Physical Science, Anatomy 1, English 1, Health, Phys. Ed, and an Elective period that can be filled after two weeks of shopping around to see which one you like the best. The good part is that these aren't daily classes--they're bi-weekly on various days of the week at various periods of the day. You no longer have 8-hour school days!
Not that you are exactly sure you're ever gonna go to any of these classes, ever.
But for now, you just want to go back to sleep. You put down the letter, close the door but don't lock it in case your roommate does come and has no key, and head to bed.
