Once you finish building your fire you walk back over to the mermaid who is now crying. Holding down the miniature mermaid you pick up a medium sized rock and place it on her tail fin pinning down her fish tail.

"W-what are you doing?" The mermaid asks you in fear as you pull out a large pocketknife.

"Well if I'm going to eat a fish like you I have to skin and gut you first." You reply sadistically as you start to rub the edge of your knife against the mermaid's fish scales.

"Aaaaahhhhh!" The mermaid screams shrilly as you use your knife to peel off all her fish scales. After about 10 minutes you finish removing all the scales from the mermaid's tail. The mermaid sobs in pain as she looks at her raw and bloody fish tail.

"And now it's time to gut you like the fish you are." You chuckle and ignoring the mermaid's protests you plunge your knife into the middle of her fish tail then move it upwards to just above her belly button. The miniature mermaid starts to spasm as you reach your hands in and pull out her guts then toss them to the side.

Finally you impale the mermaid's carcass on Long Branch you found and put her over to fish to cook. Soon after the wonderful smell of cooking fish fills the air.
