In the mean time you are pulled close and closer to the leaves. You can now smell a honey like odour mixed with a strange sting to it.
You think you know what it is and you want to avoid a close encounter at all cost. Panic doubles your strength and you manage to cut the tentacle in two just as a second tentacle that sneaked upon you can assist to finish the job.
Like a trained marine you push yourself firmly out of reach. Rolling over you get yourself into safety leaving the second tentacle behind only with a now useless stone.
Too late slime jerker! you yell in triumph while you unwrap the remains of the first tentacle.
Ta!. This is really good for your self esteem. In one day you have survived shipwreck, escaped from a snake-woman, fought a carnivorous plant and won!.
Who is to stop this reborn Tarzan of the jungle you rhetorically ask yourselves. Proudly you look at your new gained scars and tighten your biceps.
Allright Tarzan. Now what.
In spite of your self registered ego-boosting a second ago you don’t fancy going back to the beach where no doubt a hungry Destiny awaits you. On the other hand the woods have not been too hospitable as well.
You decide to take the scientific approach. You pick up a flat stone and scratch a mark on both sides. Now here this you murmur. “Tail stands for beach, Head’s the woods”.
You amaze yourselves again by the solid way you always can make the best decision and flip the stone.
