"WHere's Lee?" you ask.

YOur friends exchange glances.

"Well," Sarah speaks up, "We thought we might have seen him further down the beach, so we started in his direction, but he didn't see us and went into the forest. And then we heard..."

"...a loud scream," picked up Ben. "We didn't know what to do, but we decided to arm ourselves with heavy sticks and see if we could help him. Either we arrived to late, or he fled deeper into the forest. We haven't seen him since. We hope he's all right."

(note to author...if Lee is female, then please change this chapter to reflect that. I wasn't sure if Lee is male or female)

You sit there, worried about your friend. THen you look up and see a large group of islanders approach. They, too, must have heard your call. They are an interesting group...about twelve in number. about half are male and half female, and some are tan-skinnned and some pretty fair. Some are pretty well dressed, while a couple have on only minimum garb. They approach, and they choose a female to address you.

Initially, you can't understand their language, and ask if they speak English. To your surprise, they do...at least some of them do.
