Still overcome by the priestess' aura, you hardly even consider long. "Sarah," you say, pointing her out to the priestess. "What's your name?" you ask.

"Valetta" she responds. "All right then, I will set you two up, and give you all the ceremonial herbs and incense and treatments. And as for you two," she continues, speaking in a louder voice, and addressing Ben and Emily, "you will be taking over the roles of conduits for the temple..."

Valetta describes the position. Apparently the temple keeps a male and a female whose jobs are to act as ritual prostitutes for the villagers of opposite gender. Mostly, this involves being the recipients of oral sex jobs, though it may involve regular sexual bonding and other such acts...
