After she drank some of the Absorbium, Buttercup walked to a water valve that the Professor had in case of a fire in the lab. She connected a nearby hose to the valve, and put the free end in her mouth, and slowly turned the water on. It was a little more water than Buttercup was expecting, but nothing she couldn't handle.

Buttercup felt the water go down her throat, but she didn't feel it enter her stomach. Instead, it felt like it vanished partway down her esophagus. Then, she felt a sudden pressure in her abdomen. Placing her hand on her belly, she could feel herself filling up with water.

Buttercup shivered, then reprimanded herself. Next time, don't use cold water, she told herself. But she was able to brush the cold off as she focused on her expansion. Her belly was able to go to the size of a medicine ball before Buttercup began to feel the strain of the water on her body.

Buttercup shut off the water and pulled away from the valve. She stood up, which was easy despite her weight due to her strength, and looked herself over.

Her belly was very, of course, quite large. It felt tight to the touch, and sagged a bit with the water weight. She also noted that some of the water had gone into her thighs, butt, and breasts as well.

"Well, not bad for the first time!" Said Buttercup. "Not bad, but it could stand to go further than this!"
